About Icon Model Management
Headquartered in Toronto's thriving fashion district, Icon Model Management is a leading talent management agency with years of experience guiding aspiring talent to prominent and long lasting careers in the fashion and modeling industry. Known for its high standards and dedicated professional service, Icon Model Management represents a diverse array of talent, including men, women, and children.
If a model shows the kind of determination and skill that is required to become a success in the fashion industry, Icon Model Management will do everything in its power to help him or her succeed. To this end, Icon Model Management is dedicated to helping its models become skilled and successful professionals and regularly assists with their marketing materials, including photography and comp cards. Icon Model Management also provides an open forum for professional development opportunities and regularly communicates with its talent about potential casting calls. It does not matter if an individual has never modeled before. As long as he or she shows a positive attitude and has the right look, Icon Model Management can help them get their start in modeling.
Step one in joining the Icon Model Management team begins by contacting the company directly and providing two recent photographs. If Icon Model Management determines that you have potential for success in the business, the agency will then schedule an interview for you to meet with a talent agent.
Once you are a part of the Icon Model Management team, the company's professionals will help you improve your modeling skills and give practical advice on how to find future success. Unlike a number of agencies that seek to exploit young models, Icon Model Management will never charge for an initial interview and will only provide constructive and realistic feedback.

Icon Model Management: Ryerson University School of Fashion
Icon Model Management remains connected to the academic world of fashion by sponsoring the Ryerson University School of Fashion’s annual fashion show. Ryerson University is a public research university in Toronto, Canada, and includes a School of Fashion as part of its Faculty of Communication and Design. The School of Fashion offers two unique areas of specialization, Fashion Design and Fashion Communication. A four-year program, the first year includes the study of pattern making and construction, communication design, visual communication, textiles, marketing, and art history for both tracks. For students in the Communication Program, the second, third, and fourth years contain instruction in graphic design, fashion illustration, photography, design and costume history, promotion, consumer behavior, and new venture startups. Students are also required to pursue professional business electives. Students in the Design Program spend their three years focusing on specific details of design such as computer-aided design, apparel design, textile design, materials management, and leatherwork. Both Design and Communication students are required to complete 400 hours of documented work-study in at least two distinct work placements during the course of their four years at Ryerson University. The School of Fashion at Ryerson University is a member of the International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes and is also involved in a number of exchange agreements and other international initiatives, establishing the School of Fashion as one of the leading undergraduate design programs in the world. This coming fall, Ryerson University’s School of Fashion will offer an innovative new program for a Master of Arts in Fashion, the first of its kind in Canada. Icon Model Management is proud to foster the next generation of fashion talent through academic programs like those at Ryerson University. These academic programs are vital for continued innovation in the fashion industry.
